Finland is a Nordic country situated in the Fennoscandian region of Northern Europe. It is bordered by Sweden in the west, Norway in the north and Russia in the east, while Estonia lies to its south across the Gulf of Finland. Blaa blaa blaa. All the rest you can read from Wikipedia.

Of course Wikipedia doesn't tell the whole story. Finland is so much more, and information is not that easy to find. But Discasting answers to this growing demand with enlightning Finnish episodes!

Even though the hosts are indeed Finns themselves, they won't hesitate to tell unpleasant sides as well. In fact, Ossi seems to love to cover such Finnish phenomena. It may provoke some opposition from other Finns, who care so much what other nationalities think about them. Even though it's also very Finnish to concentrate on negative things and dvelve on self-hatred, some Finns think it's not appropriate. What a lovely contradiction!

If nationalism is getting more and more popular in Finland and self-irony of the Finns continue to diminish at the level of non-existence, our hosts may have to look for asylum. However, that would also create excellent basis for episode about Finnish Nationalism. Fun!
